(fp).
Whilst searching for a wife, Lemminkainen is lured into a trap, cut into tiny pieces, and then reanimated by his mother. A wild Finnish legend with the devil’s elk, the devil’s horse and much more…
The first German run of Swanhunter was enthusiastically received by audiences and the press. Die Deutsche Bühne online said of it: „In this piece, the director created a much appreciated musical theatre performance, (…) so innovative that it will enthrall audiences far and wide.” The Dresdner Neuesten Nachrichten newspaper said: „Once again the Chemnitz opera house leads the way again, and with this musical production, it significantly raises the bar.” The Sächsische Zeitung was full of praise: „This staging, although not totally x-rated, and therefore with an age recommendation of 12 years, is the stuff of a timeless cult piece.“
